Asking your ex how she's doing?

You know what bro, I been doing that my whole life. With my ex-wife, I talked to her for years after the divorce. And I have ex's now that I still talk to. Some I have had bad break-ups with, and some were just normal I am going my own way ones. I guess the most recent example is the best. I went to Iraq, she left me while I was there, I got home, tried to talk to her, she put a no contact order on me, I broke it got arrested and convicted, she got with some dude, he dumped her 2 weeks from thier planned wedding day, this was on Dec 27th, we have been talking just about every day since. It hurt me so bad that she left me, and it still bothers me to this day, and she left me in 2009. So being able to talk to her really helped me emotionally and stuff. I am almost shocked that she talks to me cause we had a nasty break up. But, now we are really good friends, each in our own new relationships. I dontknow what will happen in the future, but I really have no plan to stop talking to her. So, just drop her a line, tell her what you said up there.. Tell her up front your not wanting what you had before, but just wanna be friends, maybe hang out sometimes. Remember not to argue or confront her, if she says no then you just have to leave it alone. maybe try again in a few months. Just tell her what you wanna say form your heart man.. If it comes out wrong then your only human man.
