Do the Palin emails prove that she (lied) in her book?

it was mentioned on FOX NEWS, yes you read that right, that Palin's emails which were made public convey that she was vying to be McCain's second in command before the idea was even proposed by McCain himself. This is something which to my knowledge is oddly left out of her book, apparently without reason as I simply can't see any reason why someone would fail to mention something so poignant given the opportunity unless they had something to hide. Anyone who read her book but had not seen or heard about the emails would probably think that she never even considered becoming vp until McCain suggested it, and this just doesn't seem like something that someone with her ego would want to convey. I have to admit that I thought the same thing until I heard about the emails myself. Is it possible that this information was left out of the book for a reason, for those of you who claim that there was nothing of substance to be found in the emails? It's funny that I noticed this as soon as I heard about them.
