Do you have to rock your baby to get him or her to sleep?

My daughter was the total oposite and still is. When she's tired she doesn't want to be held or rocked or anything for that matter. Just set her down in her crip with her blanket and off she goes to sleep on her own. I guess I was one of the lucky ones, cause there's lots of mom's out there that need to rock their little ones to sleep. Hope everything works out for you!
